Dallas- Post Christmas

After Kentucky, Cameron flew back to Colorado and the kids and I flew to Dallas with Amelia and Daniel. I was SO grateful they were on my plane!! They were so helpful with the kids and all our luggage!  We had a fun time in Dallas and Mallie and Dallie's house. The kids go to play a lot with Liam, Bryn and Nora.
I don't think Presley let Amelia relax one second on that flight... she took advantage of having a teacher next to her and asked Meha to help her with her preschool workbooks.
We made homemmade pizzas for dinner one night with Mallie...
Emily brought over lots of toys for the kids. David enjoyed this new workbench and tools.

Auburn was going to the National Championship game in Pasadena and Cameron and I just couldn't pass up this opportunity... so, my parents and Emily and Nick kept our kids so we could go. I am SO grateful to all of them for allowing us to get away for a few days and watch Auburn play. It was an awesome vacation!!
Met up with some of our best friends from college- Bert Bean and Lindsey Henig
Been out of college for 10 years, but you wouldn't know it... packing our cooler for tailgating.
After dinner Sunday night, we walked through downtown Pasadena. This was the ESPN Gameday set next to City Hall.
Sunday after I landed, we went to Santa Anita horse track to watch some races. It's a really nice track with beautiful scenery!

While we were gone, we could not have asked for better babysitters! Nick took Presley ice skating after they saw the movie Frozen. She loved it and thought she was the Frozen princess!

Sweet Anna was right at home at Emily and Nick's!

I wish I had more pictures from our time in Dallas, but we were so busy! David had to go to the ER in Kentucky on New Year's morning with croupe. His breathing was so horrible and I'm so glad we took him that night- thanks to Mallie for catching it! We had to fly later that day, which thankfully, didn't bother him. However, the next night, I took him to urgent care and he had an ear infection. So, we didn't do a whole lot while we were in Dallas the first few days. We tried to take it easy and let him get better. We had a great time and always love getting to see all my family and great mommy friends there!

Christmas in Kentucky

We went to see my extended family in Kentucky after Birmingham. We all stayed at Tim and Debbie's house. It was so nice to be there and see all my family and cousins who I haven't seen in about 3 years. We had quite a sweet setup at the compound. They had a playroom stocked full of toys- dollhouses, GI Joe cars, dress-up clothes, matchbox cars with tracks... you name it! The kids had a BALL! All the kids slept on a huge pallet in the room with Mallie and Dallie. It was a giant slumber party every night!
Saturday morning, Tiffany and I hosted a baby shower for Amelia and baby Fox. Julia was so nice and let us host it in her home. Everything turned out great!
Next, we had Christmas with Tim, Debbie and their kids. It was just like the old days growing up and going to Louisville for Christmas. We had a big brunch and then opened gifts. The kids continue to be spoiled and received so many great presents.
Cute plates from Alex and Tippy
 Giving Amelia her godmother present
Uncle Tim and Debbie's Big New Years party! Once again, it was just like old times. So glad most of my cousins made it! It was so fun to meet their kids, too.
We went bowling the next day with lots of our family! It was a lot of fun.  Thanks to Mallie and Dallie for arranging all these fun activities and coordinating our whole trip to KY. It was a lot of effort to get car seats, pack and plays and everything there, but they made it all happen!
Anna LOVES my cousin, Brittany! She won't go to many people, but she would jump into Brittany's arms anytime she saw her. Thanks Mommy #2! We sure do miss you!!
Uncle Tim and Debbie spoiled our children rotten. They love them so much!! We are so grateful to be able to spend so much time with them and that they have gotten to know our kids so well. Wish we all lived closer!

Christmas 2013

We had a wonderful Christmas this year!! It has been crazy busy, but we loved getting to see so many of our family and friends! It all started on Friday- we had Presley's preschool Christmas program and party at school. Here she is next to her best friend, Nora. She loves having these programs and getting all dressed up for her party.
That day, we had the most beautiful frost.  Every tree and even the grass was covered in white. It was so beautiful! The next day, we left for Birmingham. We BARELY made our connection from Dallas to Birmingham. We literally were running from the skylink to our gate and were the last people on the plane, but we made it.
We had a great time in Birmingham- lots of playing with Caden and Adee and G and Big D.
Grandmom came over one morning and all the kids decorated cookies with her and G.
 Finished products...
Literally used the whole container of sprinkles on his one cookie. He loved every bit of it!
 How cute are they!
They all had so much fun playing together. Presley and Caden put on a "show" for us one day.
We were so glad that Bulldog and Nana came in town, also.
It was so nice having Daddy off work and home to play with us!
Christmas Eve we went to Grandmom's house to see all the Woodard families and look for an elf! Here's Pres on the way home telling us she kept seeing more elves.
Waiting for Santa on the fire engine in Grandmom's neighborhood.
Putting out cookies for Santa. David sampled all of them off Santa's plate.
Christmas morning was a lot of fun this year. Presley is at such a great age and so excited about Santa. David was not too excited the night before when I told him Santa was coming, but he was thrilled to walk downstairs and see presents.
He put all his cars upside down on Presley's Barbie box because the cars kept rolling off as he pulled it around the house.
Making gingerbread houses with Caden. David once again dumped all the sprinkles on his house.

Big D drove us to the TN/AL border where we met my dad who drove us up to Louisville. The party continued...
