We went to Disney World the week of Thanksgiving. We had been planning for so long and it was a wonderful family trip! We spent the first day at Magic Kingdom. It was so awesome to experience it with the kids and take them on all the rides. We showed before the park even opened.
Waking up the first morning to get a letter from some characters along with some goodies and an autograph book.
Sporting their new shirts I made for our trip.
Riding the monorail in to the park- so excited!!
Waiting for it to open!
Definitely beat the crowds that first day
First ride- walked on Jungle Cruise. It was a hit!
Next up: Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride
David got to shoot with his daddy
Met our first characters- Chip and Dale
After much anticipation and nerves, they all rode the Haunted Mansion and loved it so much, we rode it two or three more times over our trip.
The People Mover
Catching a ride from Dallie
These kids were such troopers. We woke up early and spent the entire day in the park, no naps, no slowing down. We rode almost every ride that first day.
My sweet girl drove me on the Tomorrowland Speedway
Finally time for the parade. We have been watching lots of different parades on YouTube videos for months and we were so excited to watch one in person.
Catching a ride with Mallie on the Little Mermaid
Pause to pose
Enchanted Tales with Belle was the best surprise. We went in to sit in the small theater and Belle, herself, came out to tell the story of her movie. Presley was the part of Shivering Maurice, David and Anna were a dish and salt shaker. They did a fabulous job and got pictures taken afterward with Belle.
Spin around the teacups with Big D.
Buzz Lightyear was a surprise as we came off a ride.
Dumbo
Ran to meet Rapunzel and Tiana before the Fireworks show
Loved seeing the castle lit up by Elsa at night.
David didn't even make it out of the park before he crashed.
Our first day was awesome. The kids favorite rides were Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Ranger Spin, Tomorrowland Speedway, Teacups, Dumbo.... really they loved them all. They hung all night, till about 10:30pm then took a while to get to the car and back home. But they were loving every minute of it and ready for Day 2.
