Christmastime

Our kids have caught the Christmas spirit this year BIG time! They are obsessed- want the tree lit all day, every day, want to listen to Christmas songs, want to watch the Reindeer cam... the list goes on and on. They are so excited for Christmas and it's been so much fun getting in the spirit with them.
They have really enjoyed watching Christmas shows at night. Their favorites are Rudolph, Santa Claus is coming to town and Mickey's Christmas.
Our weather has been so nice, still not too cold and we've been playing outside a lot.
They have appeased me (well David at least) by making some Christmas paintings. We made wreaths one day and hand print Christmas canvasses for me to keep. I love them all!
David's homework one week was to make cookies with mommy. He was so excited to be able to do "everything" as he said.  I'm so glad we were able to do this one on one. We don't get to do a lot of activities just us so presley was our photographer and we had a great time.
The chef was pleased with the results!
We have been helping Presley's teacher after school. Anna enjoyed playing in her classroom and just being with Presley in general.
Presley had her ballet recital this past weekend- two performances of the nutcracker. She did a great job and was so excited to be performing.
Anna chose to sit with Mark for the recital.
That afternoon, we went to Winterfrest on post. It was a really cute setup.

Everyone wanted to do sit-ups with Dada

Snuggling one night watching a Christmas show.
Presley also had a Music program at her school. Anna passed the time by playing peek-a-boo with her program.
We had Cameron's team Christmas party one night this week. Santa made a surprise arrival on the fire station. We hadn't gone to see him yet this year, so I wasn't quite sure how the kids would all react. Presley was so excited and was such a big kid. David initially panicked, but then warmed up and sat on his lap.
Anna willingly walked up to Santa, then regretted that decision. Bless her heart- she really does love him from afar and especially on TV.
David's school Christmas party was this week. It was really cute. He had snack with his friends, found mittens scattered around the room...
 played with gingerbread playdough....
decorated a sugar cookie...
From there, we headed to Presley's Christmas party. She had a class party over lunch. It was really cute and I was so glad I could attend both parties and be with the kids. I love seeing them interact with their friends at school.
We had Christmas with the Weavers before they left town. The kids had a ball and loved opening all their presents. They are certainly spoiled by these two, but love them so much! We are so grateful they are here with us and that they loved our kids like they do.
Her most favorite gift on her list...she was so excited when she opened it and kept saying "I can't believe it, really, I can't believe it."
After we opened gifts, carolers stopped by our house. It was so nice and the kids were so excited.
We are so excited for Christmas to be here and have our family around to celebrate with!
