9 month check up and first haircut!!

Presley turned 9 months old on Jan. 24. It is so hard to believe 9 months have already passed since she came into this world. She really has been the biggest blessing in our lives. She keeps us entertained constantly and never ceases to amaze us. We went for her check-up on Thursday and after I checked us in, she told the nurses "Thank you" (in her mumbled speech of course), but they all understood what she meant. She also says "Bye Bye" and waves furiously, Da-da, ba-ba, la-la and I guess thank you. It amazes us how quick she is to pick up on things. She loves to try to repeat what we say. She's still eating solids really well. Liam has taught her to love puffs. Now if only he'll teach her to eat her green veggies...She plays really hard all day- Her favorite toys are her drumsticks, ball popper from Uncle Craig and Aunt Charelete, crazy coupe car from Mallie and Dallie and her blocks from G and Big D. She's definitely got Liam's love of books and likes to read a few in the mornings. She loves to clap and will laugh if she hears anyone else laughing. She's still sleeping WONDERFULLY. Uncle Nick is always amazed that she'll wake up 2-3 hours after Liam in the mornings. She goes to bed around 6:30-7 and doesn't get up till 7:30-9:30... the 9:30 days are not as often, but probably twice a week! Needless to say, mommy can't complain about lack of sleep :)

She is 17lbs, 10oz (25%), 27" long (27%) and 78% for her head circumference! (Guess she's got our Bacon head.) She's growing on a great curve for her little self. I wish she had gained more weight, but seems like she'll be a petite little girl. The doctor said she's doing great and showing good progress with her development. Here's some recent pics:

Liam going in for the kiss...

If you notice, her hair has gotten REALLY long and shaggy in the front and back. So today, she had her first haircut. I was a little sad, but it was definitely time. She did really well, no screaming or crying... just kept looking at the lady cutting it like "Do you mind..."

I didn't get a pic of the finished product yet (had to come home for lunch and nap), but I'll post one when she wakes up. We also got in on video... yes, we were those people at the salon!

She's Crawling!!

Cameron was gone all week and we were so worried she would be crawling before he got home... she's a good girl, though, and waited for her daddy! Tonight, SHE CRAWLED!

8.5 months

Presley is getting so big! We had a playdate today at Ashley and Mia's.... it was so fun. Presley is now really recognizing her little friends. She tries to touch all of them. Here's Mia, Carter and Presley in our photo shoot from this afternoon.
Not sure why, but she kept grabbing Carter's shirt...Guess she wanted to fight Mia for him.

Looks like P and Carter are dancing...don't recall if we were singing or not, haha
If you can't tell from these pictures, Presley is a BUSY BODY- she is constantly twisting, moving, trying to reach something...anything but staying still when you're holding her or when she's on the ground.
She loves to tip her basket over now when she plays in the mornings.
We took Liam and P to the park the other day and they had fun swinging together. Presley went down the slide with me, but didn't really enjoy it.

Piggy's First Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! We flew to Birmingham for the week of Christmas. It was a great visit with Cameron's family and friends. Presley had so much fun playing with Cousin Caden all week. It was so great to see everyone. Below is some great pictures of all our fun. (I'm going to be brief with my comments since it's already taken an hour to post all our pics.)
We celebrated Christmas with my family the next week. Presley got to open all the gifts that Santa had left for her in Dallas on the 30th. It was a great time!
On our "second Christmas Eve," we all were surprised when it started snowing! Presley was not amused by the flurries in her face or the bitter cold. Liam seemed to enjoy it, though!
Thanks to everyone for a wonderful Christmas with both of our families! We miss everyone in Alabama so much, but had a great time!!! Presley is 8 months old now. It is so hard to believe how fast she is growing. She acts like a little girl now. She waves hi and goodbye to people, she can do "So big" and raise her hands over her head when you ask how big she is, she loves to chatter to herself. She can say Dada and Lala... we think we've heard Hi and today, Tat (Liam's word for cat), but those are harder to understand. She is still sleeping WONDERFULLY! She is truly a blessing to us. We are so thankful she is such a happy, healthy child. She has made 2009 a wonderful year for Cameron and I. We are excited to see what 2010 holds for our family. Hope everyone had a great Christmas!
