We had a jam-packed May! I didn't realize how busy the end of the school year can be. The kids had end of year parties, music performance, dance recital, water day, picnics, it was busy! Cameron finished rotations and was able to be home for their events and lots of play time! They've been practicing soccer a lot. The kids love it.
This letter made me laugh. We started preparing our PCS move for June. Presley wrote my parents this letter and they definitely had a party when the kids arrived. My parents flew with them from Vegas back to Texas while we finished packing the house and driving cross country.
I ran in a 5K on post that was a Run to Remember. I ran in honor of one of Cameron's soldiers who died in 2004 in Iraq, Specialist Blain Ebert. It was an honor to run on his behalf and see the community honor so many soldiers who we lost too soon. I spent my run reflecting on how precious life is, thinking of his family he left behind and mostly how fortunate I am to have a healthy family.
Presley had a musical performance on her last day and her graduation ceremony. I went in early that morning to help her class get ready. We also presented her teacher, Ms. Batana, with a gift we had the class make. It was her first year teaching so another mom and I wanted to give her something to remember this year. She was a wonderful teacher for Presley and I know Pres will miss her next year. She was very nurturing and that's just what Presley needed this year!

David had his last day and party that same time. Thankfully, Cameron was able to go to his party and I joined them after Presley's ended. David is so cute and gets so excited when we come to his class events. He had a wonderful year at his preschool and some really great teachers! I am so glad he loved school and it was such a positive experience for him.
