Texas Trip

Since Cameron was going to be in and out of the field, I decided to take the kids to Texas for a while.  Nora was going to be baptized Labor Day weekend and Alex and Tippy were coming in town- so it was a good time for a lot of the family to meet Anna for the first time.
Mal flew up to Colorado Sunday to stay the night with us then fly back Monday to Texas. I was so grateful for her help!! She basically kept up with Presley and David and I kept Anna. It made the trip so much more pleasant. We landed late in Texas and Mal surprised David with a train table.  He was so excited and played with it all day!
Mal was watching Nora the first few days while we were there and we picked Liam and Bryn early from school most days- so the kids got lots of playtime together. David is starting to talk more and more. He called them Ham, Ben and No. He loved watching Nora and gave her and Anna lots of kisses and hugs.
Amelia and Daniel bought Presley a Snow White costume- she was so surprised and wore it often.
Since we had mal's extra pair of hands, we got to do lots of activities with the kids.
We had a fun playdate at my friend, Liz's, with her daughter, Reagan. They have a great playroom with tons of dress-up clothes.  Presley had a great time!
David and Dallie having dinner together one night. They are good buddies, just like Dal and Pres.
I got lots of meals out with friends and family.
My sweet girl is so smiley! She had a lot of fun seeing everyone. She was not so great about letting everyone hold her.... or give her a bottle. I had taken some milk so I could go out and leave bottles, but she was not happy when mallie tried to give her the bottles. She's very attached to me, much like Presley was at a young age. She did have a few crying spells, but they seem to have subsided for the most part. I'm still not sure if it's dairy or caffeine, but I'm glad they are pretty much over.
The kids all had so much fun playing! We had some playdates with our old playgroup, went swimming a lot, went bowling, had kid sleepovers in Liam and Brynnie's new big beds and played a lot! Mallie even took Pres and David to the splash park one morning when Anna wasn't feeling well.
One of my best friends, Ashley, came over to meet Anna and play with all the kids one afternoon. She was one of the first "mommy" friends I made in Texas! I love her and her precious girls! So glad we got to see them so often.
Playdate at Ashley's pool and splashpark.

Friends since they were babies
Night at Roughriders baseball game, with fireworks!
He loves Nora! I did not expect him to be so into the babies.
 Nora's baptism
Mrs. Lynn feeding David his cake since he was too busy playing!
Uncle Tim and Debbie sent all the kids U of L cheer outfits and jersey! Since it's Dal's alma mater, the kids represented for their game that weekend.
We got a nice sibling dinner out one night. Daniel's family was also in town visiting.
Alex and Nick took the bigger kids to see Turbo and ride on the carousel.
 Calling daddy...
Poor baby got a bad cold!
Finally feeling better after a long nap!

Will post the second half of our trip next...
