Week after Christmas in Texas

The fun continued in Texas the week after Christmas. It was a lot of fun watching the kids play with their cousins who they hadn't seen since this summer.
Fox has grown up so much in six months!
Presley was the best helper and played with him nonstop!
Pres and Bryn each got a watch that took pictures. We caught some of their photoshoot. This reminds me of pictures and activities my sisters and I used to play when we were little.
The kids did so great in the long car ride!! They watched movies, ate lunch and even napped. I couldn't be prouder of them! They are champs and really hung in there with us on this adventure. David enjoyed having the Fart Gun in the car, too!
Our first day there, Dallie and Cameron set out for a long Dunkin session and Emily and I took the big kids roller skating. David and Presley had never skated before, so there was definitely a learning curve. By the end of it, they loved it, but it took a lot of practice and a few big falls. David literally "ran" around the rink a lot!
Taking a little break
The night Alex and Tippy arrived, we opened family gifts.
Big girl purse from Godmother, Meha!
Sweet cousins with their aprons from Tippy and Alex.
David's big gift from Mallie and Dallie- a new choo choo for around our tree. He's going to love this next year!
Anna did not like all the big kids getting to sleep together every night in Mallie's room. I negotiated to let her take her naps down there, but at night she had to stay in the pack and play. This worked, but not well.
 Movie time with Dallie
Nora and Cameron bonded this trip! She was his little shadow.
Anna and Fox played together really well.
We were still there New Year's Eve and had a big party at Emily and Nick's house. It was a lot of fun and nice to get to spend some time without the kids around to catch up.
Mallie and Dallie were champs and watched 7 kids on New Year's Eve! They even had them over dinnertime. The kids all had a really fun night!
 My main squeeze on NYE
New Year's Day we relaxed and started packing... again
We hit the road bright and early to head back to Georgia. It was a great Christmas break that went by too fast! So grateful for the time we got to spend with all our family!!
