A Big Saturday

This past Saturday we celebrated David's baptism and Presley's 3rd birthday!  It was a little stressful and crazy at times, but so worth it to have a lot of our family at both events.  My parents, Emily, Liam and Bryn all flew in Thursday night.  It was Emily's first trip to our house in Georgia. Presley was so excited to show Liam her big girl bed and all her toys. Bryn kept up with them pretty well. She called them "the boys" and would want to be doing whatever they were doing... riding the tire swing at the park, eating whatever they ate (even though she only has 4 teeth), she hung in there, though! It was really cute to see them all reunited.  David's baptism was first on Saturday morning. Cameron's Aunt Melody performed the ceremony for us at the Infantry Chapel on post. It was so nice that she was able to do this for us and make it really personal. We are SO appreciative to her and all the family that got up really early to drive down for this and then drive back that night after Presley's party!
Here is David's invitation
Asking Emily to be his godmother
With Aunt Mel
The godparents, Emily and Uncle Tim
Thank to everyone for being here for David and our family on this special day! We greatly missed Rachel, Uncle Nick, Alex, Tiffany, Amelia and Daniel!!
Next came Presley's party... she wanted a Belle theme
Opening presents with her friends... the boys pretty much dressed up in all kinds of different costumes. We had 2 batmans, a Prince Charming and a fireman.  It was cute to see all the girls in their princess dresses... Disney sure does know what they're doing.
the doll cake I made... turned out cuter than I expected!

We were so excited G and Big D and Tim and Debbie came in town Friday night. We had a family party with Presley that night. Here is her new purple bean bag chair...

And the backpack that the Easter bunny did not bring like she requested... luckily, Aunt Rere pulled through!
Liam and Presley both slept in her bed for naps and nighttime. Dallie was selected to read stories before putting them down. He was in there for like an hour each time and they all had a ball!! Liam and Pres would talk for a while each night. Their conversations went something like this, "Liam, I want to talk about princesses." Liam responded, "Pres, let's talk about racecars." Pres- "Ok."  "Racecars go really fast, Pres." At that point, I think she fell asleep. The night before Pres said, "Liam, let's get married..."  Needless to say, they entertained us every night with their conversations.
We were so glad Mallie's surgery didn't prevent her from coming. She got to hold David when he was sleeping.

Cameron bribed Bryn to play with him by giving her treats, mainly doughnuts. She would look for him each morning and even carried the big box all the way to the picnic table one morning to get ready to eat. I think he won her over!
 In between parties...
Thank you to all our family for all the help setting up for Presley's, cooking and cleaning. Lea did all the dishes after Presley's, iced cupcakes, cut up veggies, laundry, you name it!! David and my dad set up and moved the tables and all the chairs! Mallie helped watch the kids so Emily could also help me set up and cut up fruit. She also stayed up really late with me making the cookies for party favors. Charlette and Craig also helped tape table cloths down, set up, fix holes in the backyard.... I really couldn't have done it without you all!!
There will be a second post on this once I get the rest of the pictures from the weekend... till then, we celebrate Presley's actual birthday tomorrow. Should be fun!
