Second Half of Spring Break

We took off Wednesday for our spring break vacation to Coronado. We had the best time and loved getting to have daddy home for so long! We kicked off our trip with a stop at Dunkin Donuts.
All packed up and watching the movie.
View from our room. It was AMAZING! We could not have imagined a better vacation for our family. We played at the beach everyday, had picnic lunches, playtime with friends and relaxed. It was a wonderful trip.
The kids were shocked when they saw their bunk beds. Presley got to sleep in the top the first two nights, then we let David sleep up there. He begged and begged us and was so proud of himself that we let him sleep up there. He's such a big boy.
Spring Break means marshmallows and cookies at the hotel reception on our way to dinner.
First meal out. We had some of the best seafood on the island every night. It was so wonderful eating at restaurants again!
 Celebrating our vacation!
David wanted to help so much with everything. He loved helping Cameron carry all the stuff out to the beach.
Helping daddy set up the tent.
 My sweet beach babies
They played every day from early till afternoon. Built sand castles, listened to music, played with friends, made sand cakes, jumped waves, looked for dolphins, they loved every minute on the beach.
Walking to the water with Mark
 Picnic on the beach
Watching the waves and ships come in before dinner
Silly man watching the naval ships and barges
Playing the drums with her skewers
 Dinner on the bay
Mexican dinner one night, she ate a plate of guacamole all by herself!
Resting and watching something on the ipad while we got ready for dinner.
Picnic in the tent with friends

Sleepy, sleepy man at brunch on our way out of town.
Pretty girls hanging out before dinner
 Giving mommy kisses
 Having fun with friends
We had a great trip. It was great to have so much fun with the kids and watch them enjoy the beach so much.

Spring Break

We officially kicked off spring break Friday.  Anna celebrated with pig tails that morning.
David took a long nap after he piled his stuffed animals up in one corner of the bed.
 Singing to Anna before bed.
David is all about helping Cameron with anything he's doing these days. He is his little shadow again. I have been repainting the kids bedroom furniture so he helped Cameron move it to the garage for me.
So glad Daddy is finally home!!
 Soccer practice
After school on Thursday, the kids all went to the dentist. This was Anna's first time and she did wonderful! The dentist here is amazing with kids. She sang to Anna while she brushed her teeth. Anna loved every minute of it and is asking to back.  The dentist had given us some tools to bring home and practice with Anna to make her more comfortable. The tools totally helped ease her into it and the kids all had fun playing dentist together.
We went to a Going Away Party at a park for one of Presley's friends from school. Anna loves playing with her classmate, Heidi. She is so sweet to Anna and always plays with her.
We went to dinner one night with friends while the guys were out.
David helped hide eggs before Presley's school egg hunt. He loved it! He ran all over the field trying to hide them in the grass.
Pres and Heidi at the egg hunt.
 The dentist
I was so proud of all three of them!! They all did so well and were so grown up.
She kept wanting to play dentist that night.
Eating chili and making a mess
 The Easter event on post.
I was shocked Anna took a picture with the bunny. David wanted no part in it.
We met Cameron at the trailer for a potluck dinner and Anna didn't let him out of her sight.
The next day we had Presley's birthday party at the house with all her friends. She wanted a My Little Pony Rainbow Rock party. The girls painted canvases, decorated hats and microphones, ate some food and cookie cake and played pin the tail on Pinkie Pie. It was a great afternoon!!
David was so sweet at the party. He wanted to help set up everything, pass out all the favors, and took care of Anna. He is such a sweet boy, makes me so proud.
 Getting Pony tattoos
Samantha brought the kids Easter gifts.
 All the girls painting.
Opening presents. She got so many great presents that she loved. We are so glad we found so many great friends here who came out to celebrate with us.
 Cleaning off his paintbrush.
Playing pin the cutie mark on Pinkie Pie
Loving her cookie cake made by an awesome lady on post.
Opening all her presents that afternoon. She loved all of them!
 Love her cake!
The next day was Easter Sunday. The kids were so excited for the bunny to come. The night before Easter I was asking them if they knew the real reason we celebrate. Presley nailed it- she knew it was the day he rose from the dead. David said it's because Jesus' heart hurt and he had to go to Heaven for his dad to fix it. They loved their baskets and we had a fun morning just hanging out before church. We went to church then came home and hung out for a bit before going to a friends' house for dinner.
David has been talking about a nerf gun since Christmas. He loved the one the bunny brought him. Presley got some new sticker earrings and a new palace pet.
Anna was just excited for a chocolate candy.
He also loved the new Lightning McQueen watch.
They had a great time jumping on Zoey's trampoline.
 Then hunting Easter eggs.
He can't charge the nerf gun so he will always ask me or Cameron to "get it ready" for him. It's so funny, but he always asks us to fix it for him.
We had a movie night tonight and let the kids stay up a little late. They loved it. We are looking forward to the rest of our spring break fun!
