David at 7 months

My little man is hilarious these days! He has quickly become a daddy's boy.  He loves to play and watch Cameron. He just lights up when Cameron comes home from work. He will get all of his limbs going crazy when he sees him.  He just turned 7 months old last week. So hard to imagine how big he is now! His personality is definitely coming through these days. He plays with lots of toys during the day. If Presley teases him with a toy or we take away something he's not supposed to have, he immediately has a tantrum. I think he's going to be a strong willed child. He is already trying to act independent and do things on his own. I swear sometimes he thinks he can do everything Presley does. He still loves to watch her and she can make him laugh like nobody else! He is eating a variety of babyfood and we just started meats this week. He loves yogurt and all fruits so far. I still give him rice cereal once a day too. So far, he hasn't really liked green bean casserole or peas, but we are still pushing them.

This Friday night, he officially quit being rocked before nap and nighttime. This was by no means my decision, it was all him! Earlier this week, he was wanting to sit up, hold the remote control and watch TV while we rocked him. Well, that got a little ridiculous and he started refusing to lay down Friday night so we just put him in his bed. He cried for maybe 2 minutes and fell asleep holding his feet. It was hilarious to look at on the monitor, but he's slept like that now a few times. He is growing up too fast!! I already miss rocking him to sleep and getting to snuggle with him :( He did sleep through the night last night so hoping that will be a regular thing now!
Teething on EVERYTHING!!
Probably the last time I got to rock him
Laughing so hard! I love his dimples in his smile lines.
Presley continues to crack us up daily with some of the things she says. She has such a great personality. She is miss independent these days. She turns the lights on and off, brushes her teeth, gets dressed and undressed and wants to try to do everything on her own.  She still loves all the Disney princesses and loves watching pretty much any movie. In fact, she and Cameron are seeing Madagascar right now together at the theater on base. She is still a great eater and still loves salad (especially croutons), pasta, chicken, cheese and any fruit!  She loves pineapple and peaches right now! She has been practicing all her dance moves this week for us and is pretty good! We are excited for a fun summer of hitting the pool, starting a Tuesday playgroup with some of her friends from school, going to storytime and lots of time at the park.
I forgot to post this picture of her last day of school. Here is her teacher Mrs. Katy.

Dance Camp

My blogs are going to be a little out of order, but I really wanted to get this video up for family to watch. Presley went to a 4 day dance camp here on base this week and loved it! They had a mini recital yesterday and it was probably the cutest thing I've seen in a while!!  She loved this camp and I think she will definitely be taking dance lessons in the next few months. This is one of the many reasons I am so thankful I stay-at-home with the kids and don't miss the little things like this!

Dallas May 2012

The kids and I spent 2 weeks back in Dallas with my family. We had a great, jam-packed time there. I got to see my best girlfriends from college, Presley and Liam did private swim lessons together,  went to a baseball game, went to Liam's end of school program, we went to the zoo, had some great playdates with our old playgroup, rode the carousel at the mall, got mani's and pedi's, ate, ate and ate at all my favorite restaurants and I got to shop!!

Here are the "babies" while the big kids were doing swim lessons.
 Zoo with Aunt Em
David fell asleep during a playdate at the park.
Presley and Dallie watched movies every night together!! I was so excited she finally got to see all the Disney classics like Cinderella, Peter Pan, Thumbelina and a bunch of other movies she loved! She will sit there and watch an entire movie, which is right up Dallie's alley! They had a ball together. He put her to bed every night (per her request) and they shared popcorn, ice cream... they are definitely two peas in a pod!
It was really cute to see Pres and Bryn starting to really bond. Pres is so sweet to her and tries to teach her so many things... it's really sweet to see their girl bonding!
She is doing so well after swim lessons this year!! She will jump off the side not holding any hands and go under and swim from the stairs out to someone. Then, she will swim back to the side of the pool, reach her hands up and take the side and monkey walk back to the stairs. I was SO proud of how well she did in the pool this year!!
David loves to give kisses right now...and they are full open mouth kisses!
Mallie bought Pres and Bryn lots of matching outfits for the summer.
I think the kids swam every afternoon with Dallie.
Playdate with our good friends, Mia and Cate!!
David got to hang out with the adults to get sushi and play top golf at night.
Uncle Alex and Tippy were in town for a few days overlapping our visit. It was nice to catch up with them before they both start their new jobs this week.
Because 1 iPad is never enough...
We had a really great visit and can't wait to see everyone again!!

Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day this year. Presley's class had a Mother's Day tea last week. Her teacher put so much work into this party. I didn't get many action shots since David also attended, but here's some before pictures.
We each got a napkin with our child's handprint and an antique crystal tea cup
We planted a flower in a pot that each child had decorated with their thumbprint

On Sunday, I had a really great day with my babies and Cameron. He went out that morning and got us Dunkin coffee (yes, I've become a coffee drinker usually just on the weekends when he goes out to get it). I got to go on a nice run without pushing the stroller (for some reason, it is just a lot harder for me to push the stroller while running), then we all had brunch at the Conference Center on post.  It was a really nice day!! Cameron vacuumed and cleaned my car for me and got me an iPhone, which I love. Presley keeps asking me who I'm talking to when I ask Siri a question. It was a really nice day playing and just hanging out with my family. I really love being a mom- it makes me so happy to be with my kids every day and I am so thankful that I get to stay home and play with them. I wouldn't trade this time with them for anything. I love knowing why Presley says certain things and getting to watch her and David experience everything for the first time.  I am so proud of my kids. They are the greatest blessings in my life and make me happier than I ever could have imagined.
